Essential Information

• Appointments are available online only through clinic's website.
• Please don't bring too much cash, jewelry, or other valuable items.
• The clinic is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items.
• The medical exam, blood test, and X-RAY usually take about 1-2 hours to complete.
• Applicants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Pregnant applicants may choose shielded X-RAY or postpone until after birth.
• Do not conceal any medical conditions - this will be reported to Au immigration.
• Postpone your appointment if you or your child have fever/rash.

 Things to Bring

• Appointment Slip (digital on phone is acceptable)
• Offer Letter (for students)
• Original passport (compulsory)
• Spectacles/contact lenses if you wear them
• List of current medications/medical records
• Previous Chest X-RAY if you have history of chest problems
• COVID-19 Vaccination record (English translation/QR code)
• Shawl (for female applicants)

 Medical Examination Fees

 What Tests Are To Be Done?

• The tests you require will depend on your visa category
• The required tests will be listed on your Hap Id tracking sheet
• 501 code - Includes medical examination, urine routine test (for all above 5 years of age)
• 502 code - Chest X-RAY (above 11 years of age)
• Blood test where applicable
• Panel Physician may also request additional test as per clinical requirements
• Applicants over the age of 70 years will also require a Mini Mental state Examination (to measure Cognitive Impairment)

 For Pregnant Women

• If you are pregnant please inform our staff at the time of creating a health case
• Pregnant Visa applicants are NOT REQUIRED to undergo Chest X-RAY examination

 Report Dissemination

• You do not need to collect any report once all your examinations are complete
• Your report will be forwarded electronically via e-Medical to Australia Immigration within three working days in most cases
• If there are any issues in your physical examination or chest x-RAY our panel physician will inform you during the consultation
• If any of the blood tests are abnormal, our office will contact you within 24hrs
• Blood tests reports can be collected from our office (Bill is required)

 Undressing For Medical Examination

• As per guidelines provided by Australia Immigration, you will be required to remove your clothes except your inner wear
• We provide aprons to both male and female candidates and every effort is taken to maintain your dignity
• Only external physical examination is conducted
• We offer chaperone to all applicants
• All children below age of 18 will require a guardian to be present during examination

 In Case X-RAY Shows Abnormality

• The panel physician will inform you of the result
• Sometimes e-medical can auto generate further tests depending on the abnormality
• Once your case is submitted, Immigration Australia will review your case and advise if any further tests are required
• They will notify the client via email

 Tests For TB

• TB is tested by examination of sputum (Authorized at IOM Laboratory only)
• This is done in two ways - smear and culture

 Fraudulent Behavior

• Any fraudulent activity will be reported directly to the Australia Immigration
• Alfa Health Care & Diagnostic Centre requests its clients to be aware of fraudulent activity/behavior involving monetary benefits for faster correspondence and appointments

• New clients: Sunday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Follow-up visits: Sunday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
